François Sarano
François Sarano has a Ph.D. in oceanography and is a professional diver, former research director of the Deep Ocean Odyssey Program and former scientific adviser of Jacques-Yves Cousteau. He participated in over 20 expeditions around the world on board Cousteau’s flagship Calypso. He is also the co-founder of Longitude 181 Nature with Vincent Ohl.
Longitude 181 Nature is a great organization promoting nature discovery, people and traditions. With former chief diver and Calypso captain Albert Falco as its president, Longitude 181 Nature wishes to show the fantastic biological and cultural diversity of our world so that everybody can share our planet in a sustainable and fair way.
François is currently working with director Jacques Perrin on a major movie called Oceans that will be released this year.
